Mesa, AZ – December 29th, 2018 – The last month of the year had the International Fudoshin Arts Association LLC, reviewing member histories, records, accomplishments, and the members’ effect on the community in which they live. This year, they chose member Zach Tarhini, as their 2018 Member Of The Year.
As far back as he can remember, Zach has always been involved in martial arts, training and competing in Karate, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at some point or another. Back in October of this year, Zach competed in – and won – the Full Contact Bogu Kumite Division, of an Okinawan Karate tournament. Yet, aside from self defense, Zach said, “I have found that one of greatest lessons martial arts teaches, is how important fundamentals & a good foundation are.”
Zach further stated, “To become even competent in martial arts, it takes time and consistent training over a long period of time. Once you have that in place and have established a solid foundation, you can become more creative with what you have… and break some of the foundational rules. I think that realization, along with experience, is pretty universal and can translate to anything”.
